Walk through of editing

My blogger posting scheduling didn’t work so here it is a-little late! 

My post production process has been a little bit of a mess so it's documentation has been basically zero. Since this happened I decided this is the best way to take you through my process. 

1. My editing choices. There are a lot of quick cuts and that's to build the suspense. Since it's a psychological thriller I wanted it to start quick paced and then cut to her "real life" that isn't as chaotic and almost eerily quiet. Since we are going from her real life and her dream life I wanted to show the struggled the main character is having. These quick edits go away for a little bit before they return right at the end of the opening. 

2. Sound. Audio was really important for this film because it's another thing there to build suspense. I struggled with the audio because I didn't have a mic and was scared to yell inside the school I was filming at. For the shots that I took from afar I decided to just add the audio back in later. This also worked out because in the film the speaker is using a microphone. I couldn't turn it on during filming so when I went to add the audio decided to use Tiktok's voice filters. They have a microphone option so I added that to the video and then onto Adobe. I also wanted music in the background because it was a major part of my planning process. I went to YouTube to find copyright free music and was really picky but eventually found some I liked 

3. Other Elements. Canva was a really helpful tool for me in this project. It allowed me to create my production logo and look at fonts for my title. It also let me edit the words and make them move or look like they were typing. I wanted to make it look professional and Canva made it really easy.

Was this stressful overall? yes. Was it fun? yes. Would I do It again? yes. It was fun and as stressed as I was It all came together in the end.
